What we do

What water filtration services does Filter Pros San Diego offer?

Whole-house filtration, salt-free conditioning, reverse osmosis, water softener install and repair, under-sink systems, and PFAS removal. One crew. One call. One company that knows San Diego water.

Why homeowners pick us

Why do San Diego homeowners choose Filter Pros San Diego?

San Diego water is some of the hardest in the country, running 17 to 20+ grains per gallon with chloramine disinfection. Scale builds up in water heaters and fixtures. Chloramine dries skin and hair. We test your actual water first, then build a solution around what we find, not a one-size pitch.

  • We test before we recommend. A technician comes to your home, tests your tap water, and shows you the results. No guessing, no pressure.
  • Medical-grade stainless steel tanks. 304 and 316 stainless, the same alloy used in surgical equipment. No fiberglass, no plastic liners breaking down into your water.
  • Salt-free means nothing to haul. Our PF1025 catalytic media conditions hard water without salt, sodium, or brine discharge. Set it and forget it.
  • A real person on the phone. No offshore dispatch. You talk to a local technician who knows San Diego water, not a script reader.

Real feedback

What San Diego homeowners say about their water

Examples of the kind of feedback we work to earn on every job. Verified reviews from real customers live on our Google Business Profile and Yelp pages.

They did a free in-home water test before quoting anything, and the numbers were pretty eye-opening for tap water I'd been drinking for years. The whole-house system they installed uses a stainless steel tank, which the other company I called didn't even offer. Everything has been running clean for four months now.

Whole-House Water Filtration Carlsbad

I was hauling 40-pound salt bags every few weeks and it was getting old fast. They explained the salt-free system and how it handles the hardness without adding sodium to the water. No bags, no brine tank, no maintenance headaches, and the scale on my fixtures has not come back.

Salt-Free Water Conditioner Escondido

My daughter has eczema and her skin would flare up badly every winter. A friend mentioned soft water might help, so we had Filter Pros come out. They tested our water first and walked us through exactly what we were dealing with. A few weeks after the softener was in, her flare-ups got noticeably better and her dermatologist was glad to hear we made the change.

Water Softener Installation Poway

We were spending a lot on bottled water every month because nobody in the house would drink from the tap. The RO system they put in under the kitchen sink changed that completely. The water tastes clean and fresh, and we haven't bought a case of bottles since.

Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System Chula Vista

Our glass shower doors were cloudy within a week of cleaning them, and the water heater needed service way earlier than it should have. Filter Pros did the water test, showed us the hardness level, and recommended the right system for our house size. The scale buildup is gone and the glass stays clear now.

Hard Water Treatment La Mesa

I called just to get the free water test, expecting a hard sales pitch. The tech came out, tested everything, explained what the results meant, and answered my questions without pushing me toward anything. I ended up going with them for a filtration system a couple weeks later, but only because I felt like I could trust the process.

All FAQs
What areas in San Diego County do you service?

We service every city in San Diego County, from coastal communities like Encinitas, Carlsbad, and La Jolla, to inland cities like San Marcos, Escondido, and Poway, through East County (El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee), South Bay (Chula Vista, National City), and the mountain communities. If you're in the county, we cover you.

How fast can you come out for a free water test?

Usually within 1–3 business days. A technician comes to your home, tests your actual tap water on the spot, and walks you through exactly what's in it. No pressure, no obligation. You see the results before we ever talk about a system.

How much does a whole-house water filtration system cost?

It depends on your water and the system that fits your home. Entry-level conditioners start around $1,500 installed. Full whole-house filtration with salt-free conditioning runs $2,500–$5,000 for most homes. Reverse osmosis drinking water systems are typically $400–$900. We give you a written quote after the water test, no guessing.

What is salt-free water conditioning and how is it different from a softener?

A traditional softener swaps calcium and magnesium ions for sodium, which means bags of salt to haul, a brine discharge, and sodium added to your water. Our PF1025 catalytic media conditions the water without salt or sodium. Scale-causing minerals are neutralized so they don't stick to pipes and fixtures, but they're not replaced with sodium. Nothing to haul. No brine. Better for the environment and your drinking water.

Why does it matter what the tank is made of?

Most competitors use fiberglass tanks lined with plastic. Over time those liners can degrade and shed into your water. Our tanks are medical-grade 304 and 316 stainless steel, the same alloy used in surgical equipment. They don't corrode, they don't degrade, and they don't introduce anything into your water supply.
